1 CREATIVE CRITICAL RELFECTION

We created a video talking about why we decided to use certain angles, shot type, locations, editing techniques and sounds in our film opening. This can be seen below

This is the script that we used when talking about the film.

We created a number of mood boards to show the social classes and the stereotypes that we will depict in our production. The stereotypes of an international fugitive, a young detective and an associate to the human trafficker.

The anti-stereotype in our production is the female detective because stereotypically and especially in crime and thriller films the detectives are males.

When planning our film trailer opening a current issue was Human trafficking. This was due to the incident in Grays, Essex where 39 Vietnamese people were found in the back of a refrigerated lorry in an attempt to start a new life in Britain. The main issue in our production that we wanted to highlight is Human trafficking and the effects that it has on who is involved wether that be the criminals involved, the police trying to hunt down the criminals or migrants and their families.  These are represented in our production by the two criminals trying to out run the police in London. Another way that this issue is represented in our production is the audio which we have playing at the start of the piece. This is the audio of a news report talking about the discovery of the 39 bodies in the back of the lorry.
